Becoming a B Corp means joining a growing community of companies around the world that are committed to using business as a force for good. To receive this certification, we had to provide evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices – including our sustainability projects, the prices we pay to farmers, our energy sources, waste management, diversity, and corporate transparency. Finally, to complete the certification, we legally embedded our commitment to people and the planet, alongside profit, into our company articles.
What is B-corp?
Certified B Corporations® are for-profit companies that use the power of business to help build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. They meet high, independently verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
Unlike traditional corporations, B Corps are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on all stakeholders – including workers, suppliers, the community, consumers, and the environment. The B Corp community works towards reduced inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities, and the creation of high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose.
Today, there are more than 3,600 Certified B Corps around the world. For us, becoming a B Corp is a framework that helps us keep challenging the status quo and increase our positive impact on people and the planet.
