A Kenyan coffee in The Blend
Striving to offer you the best coffee means we sometimes need to adapt. That’s why our very first coffee, The Blend has a new composition: we’ve added a Kenyan component. We did this not only because we felt it would truly enrich the taste, but also because by paying a fair price to the farmers, we can help improve the difficult living conditions many Kenyan farmers face. And by drinking this coffee, you can help too!

The new component of The Blend is a washed coffee from the Ndaroini washing station in Nyeri, Kenya.
The Kenyan Coffee Revolution
Menno decided that with his other company, green coffee importer Trabocca, he wanted to change this situation, because he believes the farmers should at the very least earn a livable income. So Trabocca, together with a local coffee partner, set up a plan to change things. Trabocca would pay 100 Kenyan shillings for their coffee cherries instead of the usual 60 Kenyan shillings. The result is that since 2019, the Ndaroini coffee farmers have been the best-paid coffee farmers in Kenya!
