Frequent exposure to smoke from cooking fires is one of the biggest silent killers in the world. In many homes, fuels are burned on open fires indoors, leading to serious health problems.
Globally, almost 3 billion people still do not have adequate access to energy. This forces many families to cook over open fires and to rely on kerosene and candles for lighting.
We wanted to help change this for our coffee farmers living in rural Kenya – and we’ve found an innovative solution.

By replacing open fires and kerosene, it helps reduce smoke inhalation, improves daily life, and supports a safer, cleaner future for the communities we work with.
