Iced Flat Russian
Serves 1
Ingredients
- 100 ml of full fat milk or oat milk
- 10 ml of simple syrup
- 1 double espresso (or 50 ml of strong coffee)
- 1 shot of vodka (omit for the mocktail version)
Method
- Fill a glass with ice (optional but recommended).
- Add the milk, simple syrup, espresso/coffee and vodka
- Stir well until everything is mixed.
- Enjoy immediately.
Black G&T
Serves 1
Ingredients
- 90 ml tonic water
- 100 ml cold filter coffee
- 1 shot of gin (omit for the mocktail version)
Method
- Fill in a glass with ice.
- Pour in the tonic, cold filter coffee and gin.
- Stir gently to combine.
- Enjoy.
Arabica Rum Sour
Serves 1
Ingredients
- 100 ml cold filter coffee
- 1 shot of rum (omit for mocktail version)
- 15 ml simple syrup
- Juice of a 1/4 lemon
- Lemon zest, to garnish garnish
- 3 iced cubes
Method
- Add the cold filter coffee, rum, simple syrup and lemon juice to a glass shaker.
- Add the ice cubes and stir (or shake) well to chill and combine.
- Strain into a glass if shaken, or simply serve over the ice.
- Garnish with lemon zest and enjoy.
Hot Tea Toddy
Serves 1
Ingredients
- 200 ml hot brewed oolong, chamomile or another light tea
- 1 shot of whisky, dark rum or liqueur of choice (omit for the mocktail)
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 tablespoon of honey (or more to taste)
Method
- Brew your tea and keep it hot.
- In a heatproof mug or glass, add the honey and lemon juice.
- Pour in the hot tea and stir until the honey has dissolved.
- Add the whiskey/rum/liqueur if using, stir again and serve warm.
Red Island Iced Tisane
Serves 1
Ingredients
- 200 ml hibiscus tea, cooled
- 1 cm piece fresh ginger, grated
- 15 ml of simple syrup
- 1 shot of white rum (omit for the mocktail version)
- Optional: star anise, cinnamon or any warm spice you have on hand for extra spiciness.
- 3 ice cubes
Method
- Fill in a glass with the ice cubes.
- Add the hibiscus tea, grated ginger, simply syrup and white rum.
- Add any optional spices you like.
- Stir well, let it infuse for a minute or two, then enjoy.
