During my time in origin it was amazing to meet the talented people who make what we do possible.

What a trip - where do I even start?
Every moment was fantastic: meeting inspiring people, building knowledge, and gaining new experiences. It was incredible to see the work being done at origin, from the focus on quality to the commitment to more sustainable practices.
Visiting the farm connected to our True Price Soulmate coffee really brought the whole project to life. Seeing the dedication to both people and the environment first-hand made a deep impression.
The biggest highlight? Connecting with our partners at origin, drinking coffee together, and enjoying the final product side by side.

Fazenda Passeio & Lagoa
Touchdown in Brazil. I was especially excited to visit Fazenda Passeio and meet the farm owner, Adolfo. We actually shifted the dates of our trip just to be able to see him. He is a true pioneer, and the producer of our delicious Soulmate coffee.
There are around 130 workers at Passeio, and all cherries are picked by hand – no mechanical shakers. The farm has two main focus areas: the wellbeing of the workers and the health of the environment. It was great to see how closely our values align. No wonder we’ve been working together for so many years.
After developing a solar panel project, all of the farm’s energy now comes from solar. Native trees are constantly being planted around the farm – as many as 30,000 so far. We talked about the True Price project and our next steps, and explored how we can tackle some of the biggest challenges in the supply chain.
I brought Adolfo a bag of our coffee, and he was delighted. We cupped his coffees, discussed the difficulties in our industry, and shared plenty of laughs.
Here’s to many more years of partnership.
