Location Manager Kerkstraat – Amsterdam

You are an experienced manager who’s to lead the location with success by taking ownership and maintaining an organized and efficient process for regular operations. The Location Manager runs the space with attention to detail, creating a vibrant customer culture as well as a healthy team setting. He/she executes Bocca’s high quality standards and holds the team accountable to these standards. In this role you’re also responsible for our school of coffee and organising events.

  • Responsible for the financial Success by the location as determined by Bocca Coffee House (Bar, School of Coffee & Events)
  • Responsible for growing revenue and developing the store team and trainers
  • Actively reducing waste and overhead costs
  • Updates the General Director weekly on all team and customer developments.
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints while providing excellent customer service.
  • Responsible for training and coaching Barista’s and setting (performance) expectations (together with the Head of Bar) on coffee quality and customer service
  • Hiring and onboarding new team members
  • Responsible for implementing and embedding new (beverage) platforms, driving innovation.
  • Responsible for inventory management of retail and bar-use goods
  • Responsible for health and safety assessment and standards
  • Running Barista shifts for 2 or 3 days a week.
  • Responsible for the Bocca Coffeehouse Marketing approach for digital platforms and in-store presence. (together with the Marketing team)
  • Pro-actively keeps the wider company informed on developments within the location, or when issues need to get resolved.
  • Planning all workshops (for businesses and consumers)
  • Planning and executing all events (organized by Bocca or third parties)
  • Actively sharing the Bocca Story and DNA to customers and team

Your skills and experience:

  • Relevant work experience as a store or event manager (2-4 years)
  • Knowledge of and experience in the (specialty) coffee serving business
  • Good math skills and insights
  • MBO level 4 / HBO  
  • Dutch and English speaking and writing 
  • Insight into the (legal) regulations in the field of safety and (social) hygiene. 
  • Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines is a +
  • Leadership skills
  • Time management skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Knowledge of brewing methods  

Flexible to work various shifts throughout the weekly schedule (including weekends and holidays).
