A traditional steamed green tea with a vibrant green color from the Miyazaki prefecture, situated on the main island of Kyūshū. Miyazaki is the center of the region’s volcanic activity and has very fertile, volcanic soil high in minerals, making it well suited to growing tea. After harvest, sencha is traditionally steamed, rolled and cut in into shards.
