You may have already noticed it: the hand-drawn mouth on our new packaging.
This image is no coincidence, and not a trend either. It is a symbol that perfectly captures who we are — and what Bocca stands for.
“Bocca” means mouth in Italian.
The mouth is where taste begins. But it’s also where conversations start, stories are shared, and connections are made. That is exactly what coffee means to us.
Every cup of coffee is an encounter: between origin and destination, farmer and roaster, barista and guest. Between people.
A symbol of craftsmanship and humanity
The mouth on our packaging is deliberately hand-drawn. Not sleek or perfect, but expressive and human. It reminds us that behind every coffee are people — and hands.
Hands that pick coffee cherries.
Hands that roast, brew, and serve.
Hands that care for quality, attention, and character.
In a world of fast trends and mass production, this illustration stands for staying close to what truly matters: our roots, our craft, and our values. Taste, honesty, and authenticity.
25 years of Bocca, repackaged
After 25 years of Bocca, we have quite literally repackaged our story.
Our new packaging reflects who we are today: modern, open, and forward-looking, while remaining true to our origins.
We chose:
FSC-certified paper, with a soft, natural finish
A new 500g pack (for B2C), to reduce packaging waste
A calm and confident design, with character but without shouting
Not because it has to — but because it feels right.
Where taste begins and stories come together
At Bocca, we believe quality is never just about taste.
It’s about respect — for the farmer who grows the coffee, the roaster who develops it, the barista who brews it, and the guest who takes a moment to enjoy it.
That’s why we’ve managed the entire chain from tree to cup since 2001.
That’s why we always pay a fair price.
That’s why we train baristas at our School of Coffee in Amsterdam.
And that’s why we are a certified B Corp.
